Why a Nose Job Can Be A Good Thing
With today’s pressure on women to be slim and beautiful starting earlier
in the life of a young girl, it is hard to escape noticing a less than
perfect nose soon after self awareness sets in. If the family
environment is not strong enough to assuage a young girls focus on she
perceived to be a physical impairment self consciousness can grow and
ultimately become the measure of her value as a female.
Sadly, this can lead to a preoccupying obsession inviting a depression
that will affect the young girls most important choice making years. So
is it any wonder that over 47,000 children between the ages of 13 and 19
in 2007 with 70% of those being young girls, have elected to have nose reshaping surgery
.
So what physical conditions qualify a young person to get nose surgery
done? The ideal conditions of course would be physical need based on a
birth defect, or a breathing impairment caused by small sinuses or a
blockage of some sort. More times than not, the motivation for nose
reshaping falls into the category of 1 or more of these common cosmetic
reasons:
- Size of nose is too large or small
- Some sort of “bump” on the edge of nose
- A wide nose
- A nasal tip that hangs or droops
- Large round tip and the end of the nose
- Nostrils that are large and appear to flare
- A crooked or off center nose
